New York Liberty Unveils 2024 Roster
Jonquel Jones Returns to Lead Liberty
The New York Liberty, an American professional basketball team based in Brooklyn, has announced its 2024 roster, headlined by the return of star center Jonquel Jones.
Jones, a 6'6" center and native of Freeport, Bahamas, led the Liberty to their first-ever WNBA Finals appearance in 2022. She averaged 18.8 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game last season.
Other Notable Additions
In addition to Jones, the Liberty have added several other key players to their roster for 2024, including:
- Sabrina Ionescu, point guard
- Betnijah Laney, shooting guard
- Natasha Howard, power forward
- Stefanie Dolson, center
2024 Tickets Now on Sale
The Liberty have also announced that tickets for the 2024 season are now on sale. Single-game tickets, partial plans, and group experiences are available for purchase.

Liberty Honored in WNBA History
In addition to announcing their roster and ticket sales, the Liberty also celebrated the induction of four of their former players into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame:

- Teresa Weatherspoon
- Kym Hampton
- Vickie Johnson
The Liberty are the only WNBA team to have four players inducted into the Hall of Fame.
2023 Season Recap
The Liberty finished the 2023 season with an 18-16 record, good for third place in the Eastern Conference. They lost to the Connecticut Sun in the first round of the playoffs.
Despite the early playoff exit, the Liberty showed significant improvement in 2023, thanks in large part to the addition of Jones. With a strong roster in place for 2024, the Liberty are poised to make a deep playoff run.
