Gareth Southgate Names England's Euro 2024 Squad
33 Players Called Up for Preliminary Training Camp
Final Squad to be Announced in May 2024
On May 21, 2024, England manager Gareth Southgate announced a 33-man squad for a preliminary training camp ahead of the UEFA European Championship (Euro 2024). The tournament will be held in Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024.
The squad includes players from a variety of clubs, including Premier League leaders Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool. Some of the most notable names in the squad include captain Harry Kane, Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden, and Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The preliminary squad will train together for a week before Southgate names his final 26-man squad for the tournament. The final squad will be announced in May 2024.
England will be hoping to improve on their performance at Euro 2020, where they reached the final but lost to Italy on penalties. They will be one of the favorites to win the tournament in 2024, along with other top nations such as Spain, France, and Germany.
